The new year brought with it a bit of a shocker when Marie & Hans were mugged while walking in the Roodeberg behind Capri. Camera, phones, Hans’ prescription spectacles and wedding ring, Marie’s Gemini chain and their bag all stolen. An awful experience which also left marie with 3 fractured ribs.

We had booked to go away to Frog Mountain, leaving Friday 13th jan and it turned into a much needed break and rest. Tom and Lambert came up on the bike and I went with hans and Marie. Hans borrowed Tom’s friend Alen’s glasses which were a very close match (Alen used his contacts for a few days until Hans’ old ones arrived from Holland).

We stayed for 3 days, visited Swellendam for Melktert a few times and just chilled. Tom and I went for a canoe down the river.
